Christine and Tom

A couple weeks ago I met Christine and Tom over in Goodale Park in Columbus for some engagement portraits. They're getting married in San Diego, and were going to get their engagement portraits done on the beach there, but it didn't work out. So they found me to do it here in Ohio, and I'm so glad they did. We just walked around the park, having a great time, and stopped every once in a while.Make sure to see the slideshow for more images.

Heather and Zach

Over the weekend Heather and Zach stopped by for their engagement portraits. They're getting married out of town in a couple months so they figured it was about time to do the engagement pictures.

David and Andrea

Yesterday morning I met up with David and Andrea for their engagement session.We started out at Highbanks Metro Park (which is becoming our most popular spot for engagement sessions) and walked along some trails. Luckily it wasn't too windy so we were able to stay out longer than we expected to.


Then we drove straight down highway 23 to Worthington. There are some great buildings there that are perfect backgrounds.

Melissa and David

Last week we met up with Melissa and David at the Franklin Park Conservatory for their engagement portraits. We had a blast and we pretty-much had the place to ourselves because the OSU-Michigan game was going on. Afterwards, we looked at the pictures and talked while we had lunch.

I'm not sure what he said to warrant the slap, but it was kind of funny.
I love all the Dale Chihuly sculptures in there.

Hans and Beatrice

Hans and Beatrice were so much fun to photograph. Once again we were at Highbanks Metro Park in Lewis Center. This time for Hans' and Beatrice' engagement portraits. They're an African (Tanzanian, actually) couple who happened to meet here in Ohio.

After a few changes of clothes and driving to several areas of the park, we had all had enough of the heat. We've been having some really hot (and muggy) days here, lately. It was nice, though, being able to cool off a little in the car between places.

Jen and Mike

The other day I met Jen and Mike over at the Park of Roses for their engagement portraits. The brought their dog, Mascot, along for fun.
Then we headed over to the OSU campus area for some more (this time without Mascot).
We had a lot of fun. They really wanted a "jump shot" and this is what happened.

Jeff and Melissa

On Saturday we met Jeff and Melissa for their engagement pictures. We went to the Park of Roses here in Columbus.

Their wedding is in two weeks and we weren't sure if we'd have a chance for the engagement session but I'm so glad we did. They were so much fun and are totally into each other.

As on most Saturdays, there was a wedding going on there later in the afternoon. They said, "what the heck, let's just elope," so we had the waiting minister do his thing and bless them at the end.

Joel and Stephanie

I just have to say that this engagement session was so fun and, for us, unique. We went out of town on a little vacation just for this session -- to Boston! I hadn't been there since I was 10 so I didn't remember much of it. We had a fantastic time

First we went over to the Public Gardens. You know that book, "Make Way for Ducklings"? Yup, that pond. We walked through the garden for a while and then went down Commonwealth Ave. Joel and Stephanie have an apartment a couple blocks away from the Public Gardens right on Commonwealth, so they wanted some pictures in the alley where they get into the apartment.

Emily and Paul's Engagement Pictures

Last Saturday we met Paul and Emily over at Highbanks Metro Park for their engagement pictures. We all had a lot of fun and it was great to finally meet Paul. He lives in Chicago and Emily lives in St. Louis so there was never a chance to meet both of them until Saturday.

Kelly and Allen

We had a great time getting to know Kelly and Allen last Friday. We met at the Park of Roses in Columbus for their engagement portraits and the light was incredible! There was a bit of a crowd but we managed to keep other folks out of the pictures.

Sara and Matt

We photographed Sara and Matt's engagement session yesterday. These two are so much in love you can just feel it. I can't wait to photograph their wedding at the end of September.

We had the pleasure of photographing on the Dublin Arts Center campus, which is this old house that's been renovated into a gallery. A big thank-you to them for letting us use their property.

Amanda and Tim's Engagement Portraits

We met with Amanda and Tim again on Saturday and we had a great time photographing their engagement portraits. They had expected to only do inside studio pictures, but we convinced them to go outside in the wind and cold. It worked out OK because we had them running around a bit. We all had fun and went out for coffee at Caribou afterwards to warm up and look at the pictures. I can't wait until their wedding -- it sounds like it'll be really fun.
